What never leaves your network

Keystrokes, mouse movement and clipboard contents — text and images — go directly from one of your machines to the other, over your local network. The connection is encrypted and established only after both machines exchange a pairing code that you type. None of it passes through our servers, and none of it is written to disk. We could not read it if we wanted to.

What the licence server stores

kmShare contacts licencas.kmshare.app once per machine, to start the seven-day trial or to activate a purchased key. It stores three things: a fingerprint of your key, never the key itself; an identifier for the machine, which is a one-way hash and cannot be turned back into anything about your hardware; and, for purchases, the email address you paid with, so the key can be sent to you. After that first contact the app checks its own licence offline and does not call home again, except to renew roughly every three months.

Payments

Purchases are processed by Stripe. We never see or store your card details. Stripe's handling of your payment data is covered by their own privacy policy.

Analytics, and what we do not do

This site counts visits with Vercel Web Analytics: which pages are opened, from which country and on what kind of browser, in aggregate. It sets no cookies and does not identify you; according to Vercel, the IP address is used only to derive the country and is not stored. That is the only measurement anywhere in kmShare. The app has none of it: no analytics, no telemetry, no usage tracking, no profiling, no ads — and nothing is sold or shared with third parties.

Your data

To have your email address and licence records deleted, write to eduardocbrandes@gmail.com from the address you purchased with. Deleting them also deactivates the licence, so ask only if you no longer intend to use the app.
